 Model SZ Series Turbine Gas MetersSZ Series Turbine Gas Meters

The SZ Series Turbine Meters are Inferential (type) meters that employ the gas velocity to derive a volumetric reading. This simple mechanical design consists of a tubular body with flow straightener, an inlet diffuser, turbine wheel, a gear train, and an odometer index with pulse output. Custody Transfer versions (conformq to AGA 7 and OIML standards require oil), reduced size and extended range sub-meter versions available. The SZ Turbine Meters are lightweight, compact and require almost no maintenance. They have a "fail open" design that is ideal for installations where continuity of supply is critical.

The Accuracy Curve illustrates that the error over the maximum capacity range is within guaranteed limits. An increase of density, e.g., higher line pressure, does not change the accuracy.
